The Empress-in-Exile is placing all the blame for her loss on the FBI and on Russia and on the media. Speaking on Thursday night to the same wealthy donors who'd brayed their appreciation of her dissing the working class as a "basket of deplorables" a few months ago, she brazenly announced that she, Hillary Clinton, is the United States personified.
As reported by Amy Chozick of the New York Times:
“Putin publicly blamed me for the outpouring of outrage by his own people, and that is the direct line between what he said back then and what he did in this election,” Mrs. Clinton said.
They were her first public remarks since widespread reports that the Russian government was behind the cyberattacks on the Democratic National Committee and Mr. Podesta, with the goal of influencing the election.
“Make no mistake, as the press is finally catching up to the facts, which we desperately tried to present to them during the last months of the campaign,” Mrs. Clinton told the group, which collectively poured roughly $1 billion into her effort. “This is not just an attack on me and my campaign, although that may have added fuel to it. This is an attack against our country. We are well beyond normal political concerns here. This is about the integrity of our democracy and the security of our nation."She said Russia's alleged theft and delivery of the emails to Wikileaks was a direct result of Russian President Vladimir Putin's "personal beef" with her over her criticism of his own rigging of parliamentary elections in 2011. She conveniently forgot to mention the meddling of her own State Department in Ukraine's "color revolution" along with her threat to impose a no-fly zone in Syria -- which is the same thing as declaring direct war on Russia.
Now that the Washington Post and the New York Times and the six media conglomerates which control 90% of all the information broadcast to the public have engaged on a concerted campaign to blame Russia for Donald Trump's victory, and the public seems to buying into Red Scare Redux, Hillary Clinton obviously now feels free to come out of the closet herself, joining the blame game personally and directly.
An attack on Hillary is an attack on the United States. Therefore, the implicit message is that in order to save the honor of the Empress-in-Exile, we must declare war on Russia.
And they say Donald Trump is a narcissist?
Entitlement dies so hard. Plutocratic donors need to be soothed into thinking that their class war and the worst wealth inequality in modern history had nothing to do with Hillary's failure to win the hearts, minds and votes of deplorables of all ages, skin colors, ethnicities and genders. Meanwhile, some of her donors are themselves fair-weather friends, having gone to pre-parties at Trump Tower before attending Hillary's holiday gala in the Plaza Hotel, smack dab in the middle of the income disparity capital of the universe.
President Obama, after failing himself to sound the false alarm when he still had the chance, pre-election, is also coming around to embracing the Russophobic propaganda. He wants a full report from all 17 clans of the "intelligence community" on his desk by the time he leaves office for the safety of the golf course, the speaking circuit, the memoirs, and the raising of a billion dollars for his shrine to himself.
But even before receiving that alleged report, he is vowing retaliation in order to save the honor of the country, a/k/a Hillary and the Dismal Democrats. As reported by the Times White House mouthpiece about Obama's interview with the NPR White House mouthpiece:
The president discussed the potential for American retaliation with Steve Inskeep of NPR for an interview to air on Friday morning. “I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our election,” Mr. Obama said, “we need to take action. And we will — at the time and place of our choosing.”Could Obama be any more mealy-mouthed? You may or you may not learn of this counter-attack. And you probably won't, given that Obama doesn't want to open up the can of worms about Hillary America's meddling in Ukraine, and the proxy war against Putin in Syria. He certainly doesn't want to be called out as a hypocrite for his own recent brazen meddling in U.K. politics, when he warned Brits right before the Brexit vote that their failure to stay in the Eurozone would result in his shoving them to the back of the queue on trade with America.
Exactly seventy years ago, C. S. Lewis in "The Great Divorce" wrote about a memorable blame-game scene transpiring in hell:
ReplyDelete_____
‘Did they see Napoleon?’
‘That’s right. They went up and looked through one of the windows. Napoleon was there all right.’
‘What was he doing?’
‘Walking up and down—up and down all the time— left-right, left-right—never stopping for a moment. The two chaps watched him for about a year and he never rested. And muttering to himself all the time. “It was Soult’s fault. It was Ney’s fault. It was Josephine’s fault. It was the fault of the Russians. It was the fault of the English.” Like that all the time. Never stopped for a moment. A little, fat man and he looked kind of tired. But he didn’t seem able to stop it.’

Poor Hillary, she'll be going on and on like that into eternity.
Jay--
ReplyDeleteI don't know which I hope for more:
That Hillary will go "on and on like that into eternity"--which is what she deserves--or that she will quickly vanish into a footnote to yet another footnote in history--which would be all to the public good.
What I FEAR is that she will hang on like a tick on a dog for the next four to eight years, in near-public view, sucking blood and causing repeated sores and infections all along the way, to the continued misery of all concerned.

ReplyDeleteFrom the previous thread:
"The media-induced Putin hysteria will end abruptly on December 19th after the Electoral College meets - Mission Unaccomplished."
I'm hoping this will be the case, but my brain is saying one thing, and my heart quite another. And my heart is currently missing a beat or three; and may be doing so for the next four years or so.
According to the Bold Progressive organization, because of the hysteria about Russian involvement in the voting process, they are reporting that 70 voters are calling for a briefing about the facts in the case before voting on Monday. At least 40 at a previous count were Democrats but it may pull in others to a public organized briefing which may be interesting.
ReplyDeleteStay tuned.
I no longer care about Hillary. Everything said here is true. It no longer matters.
ReplyDeleteWhat I care about is who will run in 2020 for the Democrats, and whether that message will be Hillary's or Bernie's.
Whatever it is, neither of those two will be carrying that flag. Too old in 2020.
We won't do anything about hacking, other than what we'd have done anyway, for cyber security concerns and our own freedom to hack, balanced out. Hillary's drumbeat is no more important now than she is. At most, it would be used as an excuse to do whatever we'd have done anyway.
I urge everyone to keep their wits about them during these times of deliberate fear mongering, warmongering, propaganda, censorship of 'fake news', and subtle psy ops. We're in the thick of it.
ReplyDeleteIf the clever, intelligent former KGB colonel and President of the Russian Federation wanted to prevent the 'sure bet' Hillary from winning our Presidential election, it's only (uncommonly) common sense that that he'd take far more effective measures than directly ordering hackers to break into little Johnny Podesta's emails. We're always being reminded how cunning and intelligent Putin is, but we're now supposed to believe he does dumb, ineffecive stuff?
During his news conference yesterday, arrogant Obama taunted Putin and the Russian people, putting them down by saying Russia is a 'small country'(!) with 'nothing anyone would want to buy' (we've had sanctions on them for years!). Of course Obama also wrote off ISIS as being a 'jv team'. His words yesterday were big clues that we're all being played. Why would Obama belittle not just Putin but every Russian citizen and their ancestors who did and gave so much to the world? He wants Putin to defend Russia's honor and to provoke a war. That way he can point the finger at Russia.
The media is deliberately conflating the big email scandal associated with Hillary's secret server with the nothingburger of Podesta's emails. They're all the 'Russian hack' that cost her the election. The media knows the Podesta emails did not include a single email to or from Hillary and had NOTHING to do with her. They're the convenient scapegoat, making a hacker mountain out of a mole's leaked molehill.
If the media was honest, they'd laugh at the absurdity. Here we had Donald Trump stepping in his own stinky crap over and over, being torn to shreds in the media for it, and he survived. But when the innocuous campaign staff emails came out, it was a Russian operation instrumental in defeating her. Our democracy has been attacked! An act of war! The stench isn't coming from Trump's shoes this time, it's coming from the Obama regime.
I hope Trump continues his skepticism about the entire Intelligence Community and their MSM propagandists. The entrenched Deep State invested a ton of money in Hillary Clinton. What could be worth investing a billion or more in one candidate? War. They still expect a return on that investment.
We need to keep our heads on straight and Karen is the best at doing that. The rest of us can help by pointing out discrepancies and inconsistencies in the stinking, steaming pile of 'official' news that's coming our way.
Get your shovels ready and join the 'Shovel Brigade'!
Obama says he told Putin directly to "cut it out" 2 months ago. (Coincidentally, those are the same exact words Hillary used to warn Wall St banksters). Yet it took Obama 2 full months to ask his intelligence community to investigate and issue a report. If he was certain enough to warn Putin, what's he need a report for at this late date? We all know what that useless report will look like - big black blocks of redactions but a conclusion that clearly points to Putin.
ReplyDeleteThe current regime could of course easily point out right now which emails were so 'damaging' that their public release (unpublished by most media and unread by the public) helped get their puppet Trump elected and caused Hillary to lose. Those aren't classified. Oh wait. They did point one out. It was the pizza reference in one email which 'someone' dug deep to find and turned it into the 'pizzagate' fake news. Hillary has claimed 'real people got harmed' when some armed guy investigated on his own then turned himself in when he realized he had been played.
So the alleged Russian 'hack' of Clinton campaign emails has become a pretext for 'retaliatory' cyberwar and someone's conspiracy theory about one obscure email among 50,000 has become the pretext for censorship of 'fake' news. What's next?
There's a growing mountain being made out of a molehill-ary. Cui bono? Not Putin or Russia.
Thanks as always, Karen, for reading the NYT so that we don't have to! I'm happy to see that some true journalists, like Ben Swann, are daring to cast a critical eye on the claims of Russian misdeeds.
ReplyDeleteThanks also for calling attention to Hillary's narcissism, which has been hiding in plain sight ("I'm with Her") for decades. She's not a legal scholar, nor is she quick on her feet, and she has exhibited epically poor judgment at the cost of thousands of innocent lives. Yet she somehow thinks she ought to be President. She's definitely in Trump's league, if not his equal. At least he doesn't have a body count. Yet.
Obama's CIA leaked this CIA Russian 'hack' report to the Washington Post, but Obama has made no mention, even as a warning to others, that he was pursuing prosecution of the leaker under the Espionage Act - as he's done to a record setting 12 other individuals. It seems reasonable, if not obvious, to conclude it was an authorized leak - propaganda.
ReplyDeleteCorrection - Obama stated that he told Putin to "cut it out" 3 months ago, in September, not 2 months ago as I wrote in my previous comment. So his belated request for an intelligence investigation and report while foregoing an investigation of the CIA leaker makes the whole scenario suspect. It stinks.
I'm stuck indoors in below zero temps, so pardon me for bogarting the comments section!
Those 40 Electors the DNC is trying to turn around––can they be serious? Talk about election meddling. If the DNC, with a little help from the CIA, succeed in pulling that off, so that Clinton on 19 December ends up with more electoral votes than Trump, the Supreme Court's meddling of 2000 would be soundly outclassed by the Dark State's meddling of 2016. Clinton's accession to the throne would never be accepted by millions of deplorables; 1861-1865 all over again.
ReplyDelete"Those 40 Electors the DNC is trying to turn around––can they be serious?" --Jay, Ottawa
ReplyDeleteWell, the Democrats--or, at least, some Democrats--are sufficiently serious that they have produced YouTube videos for distribution on social media that are imploring members of the electoral college to switch their votes to someone other than Trump.
http://nypost.com/2016/12/15/celebrities-beg-electors-to-be-heroes-and-vote-against-trump/
No one in his/her right mind thinks that enough electors could switch their votes to either give Hillary the crown or throw the election into the House of Representatives, but no one in his/her right mind thought that Trump could actually win the presidential election of 2016 in the first place, or, for that matter, that the Chicago Cubs could win the World Series.
It has been--and remains--the strangest of years.
But should the impossible happen and enough electors switch their votes to elect Hillary, well, 1861-1865 redux might not be too far off the mark.
Zee: Thank you for honoring those who fight on even when the odds are against them.
ReplyDeleteI am heartened by all the articles and personal stories that are pledged to remember the political revolutionists who will be the guideposts for the future when the ashes of Trumpism will finally flame out.
We must use our energies and abilities NOW to guide others during this disheartening period. My outlet is talking with my granddaughters about the past present and future because Canada will be caught up in the coming holocaust as well. Capitalism is creeping in stronger and stronger here now with privatization taking over more and more in various areas, including the health care system.
